LP Sleeve Design for my own label Trouble in Utopia. The sleeve, for Canadian artist Valiska's LP 'On Pause' is designed so that the outer has no information on and is just artwork, where the inner has the artist and release name on.
Once you slide out the inner, the tracklisting is revealed, the inner is a very simple black and white text only item which contrasts with the artwork on the outer. The design makes the release a nice object to own and to hold and augments the ritual of selecting a record, taking it out of its sleeve and playing it. The artwork itself is a composite of four images, creating an abstract and evocative landscape that echoes the combined feelings of analogue decay and future textures.
